DTF (DIRECT TO FILM)

DTG printing produces best print results on t-shirts and garments with 100% cotton content. Using DTG printing for items with a high polyester content is not currently possible. ​

The advantage of DTG printing when compared to screen printing is the faster turnaround time and no setup costs, which makes it a more cost-effective solution when printing low volume runs (up to 50 garments). Especially when a design that features a number of different colors is required. ​​
​
DTG printing is not possible to match Pantone PMS colors and the prints are not quite as vibrant when compared to those seen with screen printing where the ink adheres to the fabric. To achieve print vintage look DTG is the perfect solution.

DTG PRINTING STEPS

STEP 1

Open Design in RIP Software which is compatible with DTG Machine. All shapes, design or font must be Transparent background.

STEP 2

Pre Treat Garment to get vibrant colour on dark garment & use tunnel dry to dry & remove all moisturised. Pre heat Printing area to remove extra fibres to avoid any damage in print.

STEP 3

Load the pre treat garment on DTG Machine, double check the position of the design and adjust height of the plate to get sharp prints

STEP 4

Press print from RIP Software and in couple of minutes your garment is ready on machine. Lastly, pass garment from tunnel dryer to cure the print. So it's long last.

ARTWORK GUIDELINES

For your design to meet the requirements of Digital Transfer your artwork will need to be in vector format and convert all paths to strokes. Create cutline around Artwork & Convert font to outlines.

  • Ensure artwork is at least 100% of the intended print area.
  • Provide PANTONE PMS colors (if you know them).
  • Check Line Weight. Make sure free-floating lines are 1pt (0.35 mm) minimum.
